Covid-19 Updates

ProtOcols Student Health and Safety

Updated April 27, 2023

THESE PROTOCOLS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
WE WILL UPDATE THESE AS RESTRICTIONS AND GUIDANCE CHANGES.

On May 1st, we will be removing the last of our remaining Covid protocols/restrictions. While we will be making these changes, we do ask that if for any reason you are not feeling well, you refrain from attending class and use the Zoom option or schedule a makeup.

Below is a list of changes effective May 1st:

  • We will only use the 9th Street entrance, you may see the doors open on Santa Clara, but that will be for airflow purposes.
  • The lobby will re-open to the public, including the store.
  • We will no longer temperature check.

Things that will continue from our protocols:

  • We will maintain the 55-minute class structure to allow for transition.
  • Masking will remain optional.
  • Students should not arrive any more than 5 minutes prior to the start of their class time.
  • We do not provide aftercare services, students need to be picked up on-time.

What’s in the works:

Streaming Classroom Observation
We have found a closed-circuit TV service that we will be working with to provide you with the ability to observe your student’s class which will stream to your device. We hope that this will release some of the pressure off the lobby space. It will take approximately a month for us to be up and running with this service. More information to come.

At Dance/10, we have all worked hard since 2020 to keep our community healthy and safe. We appreciate everyone’s diligence, effort, and support. We are happy that we are to a point where things are starting to feel like they did in the before-times.

Protocol Questions & Answers

We hope that this document will answer any questions that you may have. Out of respect for our neighbors and our students, NO LOITERING in the doorways or outside of the studio.

I am not comfortable returning to in-person classes. What are my options?

We are planning to offer hybrid classes. Zoom will still be a part of our instruction for the time being. Students who need to remain online can do so. The instructor will teach both online and in-person simultaneously.

Are all classes returning to the studio for in-person hybrid instruction?

No. Some classes were originally slated to remain online throughout the 2020-21 dance year. Those classes will remain virtual. We will be bringing back other classes in phases.

Are class times changing?

Our current class schedule and the start times of classes will remain the same. To allow for class transitions and sanitizing, classes will conclude as follows:

    • 1-hour classes will conclude after 55-minutes
    • 90-minute classes will conclude after 85-minutes
Where can I learn more about all the studio protocols?

Our protocols have had minor updates from what was established before the 2020-21 dance year began and are available on our website.

Masks are required at all times including during classes.

For the health and safety of all students and faculty, DO NOT attend in-person classes if you are not feeling well for any reason.

How will make-ups for missed classes work?

All makeups must be reserved through our portal system so that you appear on the class roster for that day. If you need assistance in scheduling makeups, please email us.
